Inland Becomes Wisconsin’s First Fully Green Tier-Certified Campus

DNR Recognition Highlights Inland's Environmental Leadership

Inland is proud to announce that all its Wisconsin manufacturing facilities have achieved Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Green Tier recognition and certification. Additionally, Inland’s La Crosse, Wisconsin facilities have been recognized as the first full campus designation by the Sustainable Green Printers (SGP) program.

Green Tier recognizes organizations that voluntarily go beyond environmental compliance through continuous improvement and measurable environmental performance. Together with Inland’s SGP certification, this achievement demonstrates our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and responsible business practices.

Inland Packaging is a leading North American label and packaging manufacturer providing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to brands across a wide range of industries. Family-owned for more than 80 years, Inland is committed to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.

The certification expands Inland’s Green Tier participation beyond its previously certified Neenah facility and recognizes the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship, continuous improvement, and sustainable manufacturing practices across its operations.

Green Tier is a voluntary Wisconsin DNR program that recognizes organizations committed to environmental leadership and continuous improvement. “Becoming Green Tier-certified reflects the dedication of our employees and our commitment to environmental responsibility, continuous improvement, and manufacturing excellence,” said Tricia Sime, Director of Innovation, Sustainability, and Compliance at Inland.

These certifications recognize Inland’s commitment to building a more sustainable manufacturing operation through continuous improvement, responsible resource management, and environmental stewardship. This achievement reflects Inland’s broader strategy of investing in people, processes, and technology that create long-term value for both the business and its customers.

James Yach, Wisconsin DNR Secretary’s Director, West Central Region, said: “Inland’s achievement demonstrates what is possible when manufacturers make environmental stewardship a core part of their business strategy. Green Tier designation reflects a strong commitment to continual improvement and leadership in sustainable manufacturing, and we are pleased to recognize Inland as a Green Tier participant.”
