Inland Recognized in Wisconsin Association of School Boards 2022 Business Honor Roll

December 7, 2022

Inland was recognized at the December 5th La Crosse School Board meeting for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) 2022 Business Honor Roll.  The Business Honor Roll program recognizes local school district business partners that support their local schools by providing resources or additional learning opportunities for students and staff.  Inland was one of five local businesses to receive recognition from the La Crosse School District for supporting area schools.

Inland has provided donations that strengthen our programming and accessibility to high-quality industry opportunities.  In 2022 Inland partnered with the School District of La Crosse being a strong supporter and partner of the La Crosse Engineering Academy.  Throughout the year, Inland offered tours to middle and high school students and volunteered to serve as guest speakers and presenters for numerous classrooms.  Most recently, Inland offers a youth apprenticeship opportunity, which allows high school students to learn on-site with a business as they seek continued learning experiences within their chosen pathway.

Mike Skroch, VP of Operations and HR, shared, “As a business owner in La Crosse, we are excited to partner with our local schools to show students what manufacturing is all about.  It’s important to us to build stronger relationships with the students and educators in our community.”

Inland was recognized alongside Gundersen Health System, Mayo Clinic Health System, The Weber Group, and Wieser Brothers.
