What is your favorite product that Inland produces and why?
My favorite product is not just one, but all of the craft breweries we print for. The people at the breweries are always great people to work with and fun to enjoy and discuss the ins and outs of their beers and labels, especially in the tap room or with friends.

What is your current role at Inland? Have you held other roles?
Sourcing Projects Manager.  Previously I have held about every position in sales – Strategic Account Executive, New Business Development Manager, Sales Representative, etc.  I have been with Inland 13 years as of June 1 and look forward to my new challenge in procurement within a company I enjoy working for.

What impact does your role have on our customers?
My newly created procurement role assists our sales, procurement, R&D, and operations groups in selecting, maintaining, and improving our sourcing positions.  The goal being to yield a more competitive/consistent/reliable position for Inland and our customers in the marketplace.  It is fun and interesting to see both the holistic and different approaches we take with each one of our customers, and what value Inland can bring to each one individually.

What aspects of your job do customers see?
I am involved in many cases with providing direct insight to our customers on our supply/sourcing positions.  Assisting with creating leverage and more competitive offerings through the sales team hopefully paints a picture of Inland (as a whole) that the customer wants to continue to work with and use as a resource, time and time again.

How does your role impact our products?
I think of my new role as a “behind the scenes” type role.  By assisting our sales, procurement, and operations groups in selecting, maintaining, and improving our sourcing positions for raw materials this has a direct impact on the labels/packaging products we can offer.  Generally this will help us keep us at the forefront of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that our customers and their products require.

Who inspires you?
It may sound cliché, but my family is who inspires me the most.  My wife Katie and my kids (Nora and Will) drive me to be a better person and for that I am greatly appreciative.  We love to have fun together along with the joys of being a family.

What’s your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is defined by one of the few movies I will actually stop and watch (when that was a thing before cord cutting) when flipping through the channels… that would have to be Office Space with Ron Livingston.  Long before I knew I would take on an “office job” I thought the movie was hilarious and relevant.  Now that I have been in an office job for almost 15 years, I can definitely say the humor and story line is more relevant than ever!

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
The first thing I would buy if I won the lottery is a lake house in Northern Wisconsin and a brand-new pontoon boat.  Not too nice of a pontoon boat though, you never know when someone may accidentally spill an adult beverage.  I would open it up to friends and family and make it THE spot to go to for summer fun and excitement… or relaxation, whichever you prefer…

What are you currently binge watching on Netflix?
My wife and I have literally watched about every series on Netflix to date, but for some reason we skipped over Better Call Saul.  This is odd since we loved Breaking Bad so much.  Either way, we skipped it and now catching up on all five seasons, it is probably second behind Breaking Bad as my favorite series of all time.  Highly recommend it!

Where’s your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is being on a lake in Northern Wisconsin, cold (bottled) beer in my hand with family or friends on the boat with me.  Between family and friends we try to head up north at least a few times per summer to enjoy some lake fun.
